American Truck Simulator
American Truck Simulator was released in 2016 and is developed by the same software developers as Hard Truck: 18 Wheels of Steel. It is an open world OTR truck driving simulator that has you play as an independent driver. You can buy your own fleet of trucks and hire AI operators to drive them for you. While previous iterations of 18WoS let you micro manage the drivers routes I don't believe you can do that with ATS. ATS supports a lot of advanced control schemes and input devices such as H-pattern shifters and eye-tracking devices. This gives you deep immersion and really brings out the enjoyment and relaxation factor for me. (I find driving relaxing, especially long-haul driving.)
I spun up a linux dedicated convoy server. For the moment I have it password-protected but I may open it in the future.
